Dr. Kevin Cassin
Doctor Kevin Cassin began at Lakeville Family Eye Care in September 2020. He provides services for primary eye care, ocular disease, pediatric eye care, contact lens fittings, refractive and cataract surgery co-management, and emergency eye care.
After graduating from Eastview High School in Apple Valley, Dr. Cassin received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology, Society, and the Environment from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. He then received his doctor of optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2014 where he served as Class President, was a member of the Gold Key and Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Societies and was inducted into the Tomb and Key Optometric Honor Fraternity (based on character, leadership and excellence in academic optometric studies), received the Colleague of the Year Award, and graduated Magna Cum Laude. As an optometry student, he pursued his passion for volunteering and providing eye care to those less fortunate on a mission trip to Morocco.
While he enjoys all aspects of optometry, Dr. Cassin is particularly interested in the treatment and management of ocular disease and fitting contact lenses. He completed a residency in ocular disease from the Huntington VA Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia where he gained valuable experience in the treatment and management of eye diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. Following residency, he has practiced at multiple private optometry practices focused on medical optometry. He is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Minnesota Optometric Association.
Dr. Cassin and his wife Alyssa have two beautiful daughters Olivia and Virginia and he enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, running, and cooking. Dr. Cassin and his family are excited to join Lakeville and Burnsville Family Eye Care and to serve the Lakeville and surrounding community.
