Dr. Brandon Koupal joined Lakeville and Burnsville Family Eye Care in 2023 after completing his clinical training with a focus on full-scope optometry. He offers a wide range of services, including:

Education & Clinical Training
Originally from South Dakota, Dr. Koupal graduated from Elk Point–Jefferson High School before earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. He went on to receive his Doctor of Optometry from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona.
In his final year, Dr. Koupal completed multiple clinical rotations specializing in ocular disease, ophthalmology, and primary care — experiences that solidified his interest in full-scope optometric care.
Clinical Approach
Dr. Koupal is especially interested in primary eye care and disease management. He’s committed to delivering thorough, high-quality care and is passionate about forming long-term relationships with patients. As he builds his career, his goal is to provide a consistent and trusted source of care for every stage of his patients’ lives.
Personal Background
Dr. Koupal and his wife, Jessica, recently settled into the area and enjoy an active lifestyle. They spend their time golfing, exploring local trails with their dog, and discovering new things to do in the community. They're currently expecting their first child — and excited to embrace the adventure of parenthood.
